Mercy's Vessel was formed in the mid-summer of 2007 as a result of each of its' members individual desire to serve God through the ministry of music. As we came together, we found that our voices complemented one another and the blend was effortless. All of the credit goes to our loving Father for bringing us together for this ministry. It is true that He will give us the desires of our hearts above what we ask or think.
We performed our first concert at a church picnic in New Jersey on Labor Day 2007. Our desire is to put Jesus first in all we do so others will come to the saving knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We look forward to seeing what God has in store for us as we follow Him.

John McPherson is the group's Lead singer. He spends much of his time on the road, driving for Carvel Ice Cream during the day and singing on the weekends. He has served as a music minister and has been a part of other SG singing groups. Among his interests are racquetball, soccer, bass fishing, and gospel music! His favorite scripture verses are Ephesians 2:8-9. John and his wife, Joanne have been married since 1976 and reside in Orrstown, Pa. They have 2 children.

Daniel Harmon is the group’s Baritone singer. He retired from the USAF as an Instructor Flight Engineer on C141’s in 1998 and now works as a Network Administrator for PACSES. He has served as a music director in several churches during his career and has been a part of other SG singing groups. He enjoys gospel music, woodworking, racquetball and building computers. His favorite scripture verse is 1 Corinthians 10:31. Daniel currently lives in Dillsburg, Pa. and has been married to his wife Dawn since 1980. They have 3 children. Their son is currently serving in the United States Army as a Soldier Medic.

Dan Moyer is the group's Tenor singer. He comes to us from Lancaster County, Pa. and grew up on a dairy farm in Berks County with his four brothers and one sister. Dan works in the agriculture industry as a feed sales consultant and currently serves as a worship leader in Erb’s Mennonite Church in Lititz, Pa. He enjoys teaching, singing and driving school bus and motor coach. His favorite scripture verse is Psalm 8:4. Dan has been married to his wife Wendy since 1985 and they have a son who is currently serving in the United States Marine Corps.
